I am pitching a corporate client in NYC next week and need some east coast style advice. Are skirt suits expected for women or are pant suits acceptable?

I used to work in NYC and pant suits are definitely acceptable. Just make sure you're fashion forward. With color. A plain old pantsuit doesn't cut it. Make sure you have a great top underneath, killer accessories and fab shoes and bag.
But, as we all know, the most important thing for nabbing clients is what's between your ears and what comes out your mouth. Good luck and safe travels!

Either pants or skirts are totally acceptable. I think the major considerations are color and fabric weight. Black and grey are always a good choice for NYC. But it's getting warm, so where a lighter weight fabric. Also, with Spring here, I would wear a bright color and pretty, floral accessories.
